In January 2022 College Questions (CQ) was founded with the goal of bringing students into the world of higher education. To work with students and families who are struggling to find out where to start looking for colleges and career directions by identifying what they need to know and how to narrow down the choices.

CQ also focuses on assisting students once they have made the decision where to attend college but need help staying on track with class and being successful in them.

CQ is based on experience, knowledge, and an ability to help find and share the answers to the questions that students have. To learn more about these experiences, read Danielle’s story below:

Sharing the Journey of the College Struggles to Success"

CQ was built to support current and future generations in finding a path to higher education, whatever the direction, and build a better future.

CQ was built to help you achieve success in your educational journey!

Sharing the Journey of the College Struggles to Success

Growing up Danielle’s parents told her she could do anything, when she was 2 she fell in love with dolphins. Over the years no matter the subjects she learned in school her goal was to train dolphins. Danielle entered Arizona State University (ASU) right after high school as planned, then things changed. The dream of training dolphins never changed, but the struggle with college life did and she eventually left ASU. After losing credits while changing schools (attended 7 colleges), poor grades, wrong college advisement, financial aid issues, and changing majors (graduated with 21 more credits than needed), and not knowing the questions to ask Danielle thought she would never finish. FINALLY, after 14 years and numerous disappointments, she was extremely proud to graduate from ASU with her Bachelor’s in Psychology. After graduation she struggled to find work in the field of dolphin training, or a related field, and had to find another other type of work. Danielle was hired at University of Phoenix (UoP) as an enrollment representative and was determined to help keep students from making the same mistakes that she did. UoP became her home for the next 13 years. Danielle guided students through the enrollment process, assisted with career searches, answering questions, and preparing them for class to improve their retention and success in the classroom. During her tenure she dove even further into her own education, completing an MSP/IO (Master’s in Psychology/Industrial Organizational PSY), BSEVS (Bachelor’s in Environmental Science), and an MBA (Master’s in Business Administration). After 10 years with University of Phoenix Danielle realized that somewhere over the years the field of education had become a new passion. Danielle had 10 years of experience advising students and, over 25 years of experience as a student in higher education and it was time to work towards a new career goal. Danielle’s previous goal of training dolphins became a passion (not the career goal) which she still actively supports. In 2018 Danielle started to work on her Doctorate Degree in Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration. Danielle completed her doctorate degree in February 2023 and became Dr. Danielle R. Kish. The study she conducted was focused on identifying a ways to assist nontraditional students in improving retention within the online classroom. But this was not enough, Danielle wanted to help more students reach for their dreams. She wants to help future students realize their potential and achieve their long-term goals for their communities, their families, and most importantly themselves. Danielle wants to support those who are next generation, first-generation, returning students, nontraditional students, parents, and all the students who never thought college was a possibility and help them realize it is possible. To accomplish this in January of 2022 Danielle founded College Questions (CQ) with the goal of bringing more students into the world of higher education. To work with students and families who are struggling to find out where to start looking for colleges, what they need to know, and how to narrow down the choices. CQ also focuses on assisting students once they have made the decision where to attend college but need help staying on track with classes and being successful in them. College Questions is based on experience, knowledge, and an ability to help find and share the answers to the questions that students have.  “I completed a Fellow with the Council for Higher Education Accreditation in the Fall of 2021. To take part in this fellowship I left my job of 13 years, sold my home, and drove cross-country from Arizona to Washington, DC. When people asked me why I would do this, I would reply, ‘Because if I am not willing to take a chance on myself…how can I expect anyone else to take a chance on me?’”

-Dr. Danielle Kish, Founder

Ask yourself, if you don’t take a chance on you, who else will?
